What happens to the dress, and what it costs

Cleaning and altering happen in the same building here. If you need both, we clean first: cloth behaves differently once cleaned.
Four things, without which the hem will be wrong
- The shoes for the evening
On a long dress the heel height decides the entire hem. No stand-ins.
- The underwear you will wear
A different bra shifts the straps, the bust seam and the neckline by centimetres.
- Two weeks ahead
That leaves time for a second fitting if something shows up during the work.
- Nothing else
Pinning, discussing and naming the fixed price costs nothing.
For wedding dresses and corsetry we book a slot, so the fitting is not squeezed between walk-ins.

Two weeks ahead for an evening dress; at least four to six weeks for a wedding dress. That leaves room for a second fitting.
How many fittings will I need?
For a length change, usually one. For corsetry or several alterations, two to three.
Can you clean the dress as well?
Yes, before or after as appropriate. For a wedding dress we recommend cleaning straight after the wedding.
What does it cost?
Shortening from CHF 35, taking in with lining from CHF 45. Corsetry and trains quoted on sight; we name the fixed price at the fitting.
