A shirt sleeve ends at the wrist bone; a jacket sleeve a centimetre above it. Two centimetres decide whether a suit reads as well fitted or not.

Usually we shorten at the cuff. On jackets with a working placket the job is more involved, so the buttons end up where they belong.

Because the button placket at the cuff has to be re-set. That is hand work and takes longer than a plain hem.
How much shirt cuff should show below the jacket?
One to one and a half centimetres. Bring both and we match them to each other.
Can you shorten leather sleeves?
Yes, on a jacket for CHF 80. Leather does not forgive a second stitch line, so we measure especially carefully.
And if the sleeve is too short?
Lengthening works if there is seam allowance. We look at it before we promise anything.
