Two ways

At the cuff, or at the shoulder

Both are correct, and the difference is the entire price gap. Which one your piece needs is decided by how the sleeve is made, not by your budget.

The sleeve is shortened at the bottom and closed again. The fast, cheap route.

At the top, at the shoulder

The sleeve is removed, shortened and set back in. More work, and the only answer when the cuff is finished.

Why does “with placket” cost more?

Because the button placket at the cuff has to be re-set. That is hand work and takes longer than a plain hem.

How much shirt cuff should show below the jacket?

One to one and a half centimetres. Bring both and we match them to each other.

Can you shorten leather sleeves?

Yes, on a jacket for CHF 80. Leather does not forgive a second stitch line, so we measure especially carefully.

And if the sleeve is too short?

Lengthening works if there is seam allowance. We look at it before we promise anything.
