The hem decides it, not the rest of the dress
The cloth is usually clean. What makes a wedding dress look grey is twenty centimetres of hem dragged all evening over gravel, parquet and a dance floor.

The sooner you come, the more comes out
The stains that ruin a wedding dress are invisible the day after. They appear six months later, and then they stay.
- In the first few weeks
Champagne, perspiration and sugar are colourless while fresh. Then they oxidise to brown.
- Not in the plastic cover
The cover from the bridal shop traps moisture in the cloth and yellows silk.
- Do not treat it yourself
Water and a stain pen leave a ring on silk that is larger than the stain was.
- Mention loose beading
We flag glued stones in advance and secure sewn appliqués before the bath.
Bring the dress in. We go over it with you mark by mark and tell you honestly what will come out and what will not.

076 501 73 31How soon after the wedding should the dress be cleaned?
As soon as possible. Perspiration, champagne and make-up oxidise and turn yellow after a few months, and then they often cannot be removed completely.
Will the lace survive?
Yes. We secure the appliqués first and treat lace by hand. Where stones are glued on rather than sewn, we tell you in advance what can happen.
Can you alter the dress as well?
Yes — shortening, taking in, adjusting straps, re-fitting corsetry, shortening the train. For that we book you a fitting.
How long does it take?
Allow five to ten working days. A wedding dress cannot be rushed.
